Tawas Bay Beach Resort offers special rates to festival participants. You can reserve rooms for $89.95 (+tax) overlooking the bay or for $79.95 (+tax) not overlooking the water. For reservations call 1-800-336-8601 and mention the festival. Call early to ensure getting a room. All guests will receive discount coupons worth $20 to help defray meals and drinks. Box lunches are available. Breakfast is served beginning at 6:00AM in the dining room.

Manor House Inn 1-989-739-1977 sits on the shore of Lake Huron just north of the mouth of the AuSable River. Private patios overlook the migration stopover site of terns, gulls, and shorebirds. Breakfast is served to your room to meet your schedule. Call for our festival rates.

Motel

Bambi Motel is a favorite resting spot for birders.  Call us at 1-989-362-4582 or email us at bambimotel@msn.com.  Here at the Bambi we  are proud to offer our guests a full range of amenities usually not found in the smaller hotels or motels. 

Riptide Inn is located just one-half mile from festival headquarters and offers a discounted rate of $55.00 (including tax) for a 1-bedroom studio cabin or $75.00 for a 2-bedroom cabin with efficiency kitchen. Call (989) 362-6562 and mention the festival to get these rates.

Rest All Inn Oscoda Toll Free 1-866-989-7378 (REST) offers a special festival rate of $55.00 (plus taxes) for rooms with one or two queen beds. Property is lake frontage with many Caspian Terns and shorebirds just hundreds of yards from the confluence of the AuSable River and Lake Huron. Continential breakfast is served at 5:30AM. We will even fill your thermos for the day!

Stefan's R&R Resort offers festival participants a 5% discount. The Lake Huron front resort has both cottages and an 11 room lodge. Call us for details at (989) 739-2778.

Timberlane Resorts is located within walking distance of Tawas Point State Park. Enjoy watching the fabulous Michigan sunsets over Tawas Bay at our tranquil wooded setting. Timberlane offers updated cottages with knotty pine interiors sleeping 4 to 14 people. Special rates are offered to festival participants. Call (248) 797-0208. Located right next to Jerrys Marina on Tawas Point. Amenties include full kitchen, gas grills, fireplaces, Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtubs, and free wireless internet.

Bed and Breakfast

Huron House Bed and Breakfast 1-989-739-9255 presents luxury accommodations for couples located on a beautiful stretch of Lake Huron beach. Amenities include private decks, private outdoor hot tubs, in room whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, fabulous Lake Huron views, and breakfast served to your room. Birders enjoy a 15% discount during the Tawas Point Birding Festival May 16, 17, and 18.

Camping

Sleep with the birds. Tawas Point State Park has campsites and a few cabins available for rental. The campsites cost $27 per night plus the cost of a motor vehicle permit, which is $6 for Michigan residents and $8 for nonresidents. For resident seniors (65 and older) the annual sticker is $6. The mini cabins cost $45 per night. A Tawas Bay cabin is available for $80 per night. These can be reserved by going to campground reservations or by calling 1-800-447-2757.
